The Service Ministry Team of GCPC
is joyfully committed to developing and directing service opportunities both locally and globally, that enrich the lives of those serving and those being served.
Meetings are scheduled the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
Service Ministries in place at this time are:
VANCO BINGO - We hold Bingo games at Vanco manor on the first Sunday of each month for the residents of this facility. Prizes can be donated. This is a great way to give back to those who have given
to our community.
SAMARITAN'S FOR KIDS - This ministry works with local K-4 schools to provide snacks and school supplies to under priviledged children.
PROJECT CURE - Volunteers sort and box medical supplies on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.
ROOM-IN-THE-INN - We partner in this ministry with the Nashville Union Rescue Mission to provide food and a warm place to sleep for homeless in our area. This ministry houses 10 - 12 men every Wednesday Night from November to March, providing nourishment both physically and spiritually.
ADULT MISSIONS - Each year we go to communities that have experienced natural disasters and help resident's restore/repair their homes. This Team has gone to Appalachia and the Gulf Coast during the past several years. We also provide help to local people in need of home maintenance.
AMERICAN RED CROSS - We host a community Blood Drive the
first Thursday of every other month in the Fellowship Hall. This blood drive operates from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. Your participation in this blood drive WILL save a life! Come join us.
SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE - We provide volunteers to assist the Salvation Army at their Angel Tree in Rivergate Mall during the Christmas Season.
SAMARITAN'S PURSE/OPERATION BLESSING - Every year, families of GCPC take home shoe boxes and fill them with toys and gifts to be distributed by the Samaritan's Purse. Samaritan's Purse is a ministry started by Franklin Graham that reaches out to children all over the world, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. These shoe boxes are just a small but very meaningful ministry to reach the world for Christ!
We continuously look for opportunities for new ministries and volunteers that wish to SERVE our Lord. If any of these ministries sound like something you would like to get involved with, please call the church office at 859-5888 for more information.
